Florida Hospital has been conducting a Transportation Survey each year since 1997.

Here are some interesting numbers from the 2003 survey, out of  2,450 employees who answered the survey this is what the responded with.

91% said they never carpool to work.

95% said they usually drive alone.

These numbers show that there are many empty passenger seats, and a lot of potential savings, both financial and environmental.
