Education Credits
Certificates of Attendance
Each registrant will receive a Certificate of Attendance after attending the one day Research Community Forum entitled, “Challenges of Protecting Human Subjects in Research - 7 Years into the Millennium,” co-sponsored by the Florida Hospital and the Office for Human Research Protections on Monday, February 26, 2007 in Orlando, Florida. Additional co-sponsors include the Adventist Health System, Inc., the University of Central Florida Hospital, and the Orlando Regional Health Care. Each registrant will receive 7.0 hours of human subject protection education.
Continuing Medical Education (CME) Credits
The Florida Hospital is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians. The Florida Hospital designates this educational activity for a maximum of 7.0 hours in Category 1 Credit toward the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
The Florida Hospital must ensure balance, independence, objectivity, and scientific rigor in its educational activities.
All faculty participating in this activity are required to disclose to the audience any significant financial interest and/or other relationship with the manufacturer(s) of any commercial products(s) and/or provider(s) of commercial services discussed in his/her presentation and/or the commercial contributors(s) of this activity.
Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Credits
The Legal Counsel of the Florida Hospital has been certified by the Florida State Continuing Legal Education Board as an Accredited Provider of Continuing Legal Education in the State of Florida, and will be administering CLE credits for this forum.
This transitional continuing legal education course has been approved for newly admitted and experienced attorneys in accordance with the requirements of the Florida CLE rules and Regulations in the Professional Practice Category. Information about maximum credit hours for attendance at specified sessions will be available in advance of the forum.
Attorneys desiring accreditation in states other than Florida must determine whether their state accepts Florida State credits.
Please indicate on the registration form if you require CLE credit.
Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) Credits
The Florida Hospital is an approved provider of continuing education by the Florida State Nurses Association, Provider Number xxxxxx. Provider Approval is valid through September 30, 2009. The Florida Hospital is accredited by the ANCC Commission on Accreditation. This activity is approved for 7.0 contact hours.
Provider approved by the Florida Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP xxxxxx for 7.0 contact hours.
Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
The Florida Hospital certifies that this continuing education activity meets the criteria for .7 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) as defined by the National Task Force on the Continuing Education Unit . One CEU is awarded for ten contact hours.
