As patients and families enter the hospital, they find themselves on a “Healing Boulevard” featuring easily accessible outpatient services, which includes Imaging, Cardiology, Respiratory Services, Sleep Center, and Laboratory, as well Patient Financial Services and Pre-Admission Testing.

Additionally, the lobby is complemented by a non-denominational chapel and healing garden and is open to anyone who may be seeking strength of a spiritual nature.

Patient Rooms: Private & Welcoming
There's no place like home, but Florida Hospital East Orlando patient rooms, designed to appeal to the mind, body and spirit, offer a quiet and welcoming atmosphere for recovery.

Each room is conveniently located off of a centralized nurses' station, with a smaller nurses' station outside of the patient room allowing nurses and physicians to more easily document and track a patient's progress.

Believing that visitors are an essential part of the healing process, the “family” living room area was designed to adequately accommodate family and friends with a sofa that converts to a bed, accommodating one overnight guest.

Chapel and Healing Garden : The new non-denominational chapel with beautiful artwork and stained glass windows is open to anyone who may be seeking strength of a spiritual nature. The Chapel looks out onto our peaceful Healing G arden , which is an outdoor sanctuary featuring beautiful foliage and a stunning water fountain.

Customer Service Concierge Team : Our Customer Service Concierge Team greets and assists patients as they arrive and even escorts patients to their destination. They are readily available to answer questions about the hospital and to help visitors find their loved ones.

East Side Bistro: Florida Hospital East Orlando offers a dining experience second to only some of Orlando 's top restaurants. The new dining room, “The East Side Bistro,” was named by the staff and serves more than 535,000 meals to employees, physicians, patients, and visitors each year. The East Side Bistro offers visitors and employees a smorgasbord of fresh, healthy and delicious foods to choose from.

Gift Shop: Directly across from the East Side Bistro, visitors are welcome to pass time by browsing in our newly expanded gift shop where we feature many wonderful gifts, cards and keepsakes that may cheer up friends or family members.

Women's Care Concierge: The Women's Care Concierge is a trusted confidant just for women who can offer women resources, specialist referrals, connect women with care coordinators, appointment scheduling and screenings, as well as inform women of health prevention priorities appropriate for their age.

iExtend
The Florida Hospital system is making a $100 million investment in advancing its clinical information system to track and maintain patient records and documentation electronically. Providing a patient's medical history, test results, readings and diagnosis, i-Extend will allow a physician or nurse to instantly access this information from a computer terminal adjacent to the patient's room.

i-Extend will be implemented at Florida Hospital East Orlando by January 2008. It will fully enable our caregivers to focus on whole-person care as well as enhancing the delivery of care and service with the very latest in computer technology.
